At a recent business breakfast that I attended with my husband, I met an incredible health enthusiast and certified holistic health coach. Ryan Carmody transformed his health using smoothies to get lots of fruits and vegetables into his diet. His energy levels returned, his severe skin problems resolved. He also lost stubborn weight that had been holding on. His success was so life changing that he decided to share his new found passion with others by starting a blog. He writes at healthysmoothiehq.com. (hq for Head Quarters)
And the name is fitting. HealthySmoothiehq is not your normal smoothie blog. All of Ryan’s recipes are made with 100% healthy ingredients and are all delicious. He makes and tests every recipe that he shares. He has studied the benefits of the healthiest foods and has found great combinations for addressing multiple health concerns. Have high blood pressure? Take a look at his blog post on Lowering High Blood Pressure. Suffer from Arthritis? Check out this post on Alleviating Arthritis. Ryan has a whole set of smoothie recipes designed to help you lose weight. All of this by substituting a smoothie for one meal each day.
To help others benefit from what he has learned, Ryan wrote a smoothie basics handbook, 15 Simple Healthy Smoothie Recipes. He gives it away for FREE If you sign up for his newsletter. But he wasn’t satisfied. He felt people needed more so he spent the next two years of his life writing a much more comprehensive ebook called Transform Your Health With Smoothies. His book provides everything you need to create delicious smoothies in just 10 minutes each day. What results can you expect as a result of consuming a delicious smoothie every day? Improved health, glowing skin, super-fast weight loss, high energy levels, are just some of the benefits. Ryan’s book sells for $27.00 and is worth much more. Get a copy of it here.
Ryan has graciously allowed me to choose and share a smoothie recipe of his with my readers. It was a hard choice because he has so many good ones. I finally settled on Key Lime Pie Smoothie. I love key Lime Pie, but it isn’t conducive to weight loss; this smoothie is, though. As a plus, limes offer these terrific benefits.
- Rich in vitamin C
- Aids digestion
- Detoxification though limonoids promoting activity of liver detoxing enzymes
- Supports healthy skin (when consumed orally or applied externally)
- Supports a healthy heart
So without further ado, I give you Ryan Carmody’s Key Lime Pie Smoothie. My personal modifications in parenthesis. I hope you will try it and let me know what you think in the comments below.
